Week 1

Well I have completed week one of my "healthier eating" I weighed in at 151 this morning. I am down 3 lbs. so far!!! I am soo happy, but a long way from my goal. I am trying to incorporate more excercise into my lifestyle as well as the eating healthier and drinking more water and less coke.

Weight...

There have been a few changes around our house in the past couple of months. Now it is time I make some changes within myself. I have done nothing but eat, eat, eat. I really want to be healthy and be around for a long time for my kids and Thad. Yesterday was the big weigh in.... 154 is the starting weight, I want to drop about 20 lbs but also get more fit. I am starting the gym today. I am going to check in weekly with weigh ins and check in on work outs.

Tinkle, tinkle

Last night Dusty asked Kaley what the birds say (which used to be (in the sweetest little voice) happy good mornin) she replied tinkle, tinkle wittle star, wonder you are. Kids can just get you sometimes. I was trying to get her to hurry up yesterday when I went to pick her up from nannies and she looked up at me and said Mommy I love you!! It is funny how even your kids know you need to slow down and take a breath! Dusty is now getting to go home by himself after school. He scared the poo out of me on Monday, I hadn't heard from him at 4:30 so I called the bus garage thinking they would say oh they are running late, oh no they told me that the driver had already come in and turned in her keys, she was finished with her route. I frantically called Thad, he told me to call Matt (Thad's cousin) to see if he would run over and check on him since he is closer. Matt said he would run over and check it out and I left work and headed that way. On my way the lady at the bus garage called to let me know that she had talked with the bus driver and that she had let him off at his stop. My mind went crazy thinking what in the world could have happened from the top of the drive to the front door. Matt soon called to let me know that Dusty was there, that he had a problem with his key. I got there soon after and was about to loose it, how could his key all of a sudden not work???? Well come to find out it was all MY fault, yep as soon as I put him on the bus that morning I came inside and locked the front door (including the dead bolt). Gotta love it when stuff comes back to bite you in the butt!!!! Oh well alls well that ends well!! Guess thats about it for now!!!!

Were moving on up....

We spent the last weekend moving to our new house. It was a crazy, disorganized mess!! But we are in, now the unpacking begins!! The kids LOVE the new house and so do we! The kids are both going thru something.. Dusty is happy one minute then will bite your head off for looking at him the next. Kaley grows more and more mischevious everday, last Thursday I went upstairs to turn off her light and tv and found her own personal garden on.her.bed!!!!! She says she was starting her own tomato garden. Last night she got into my pocketbook (FOR THE 100TH TIME) and got gum, chewed it up and decided she didn't like it so she spit it out IN.HER.NEW.CARPET!!!!!! I was livid, to say the least. As I was cleaning it up and telling her that she was to have NO more gum she looks at me and said "mommy, I am so sad" I asked her why and she said "cause I want some gum" to bad sweetheart!!!! I don't know what I am going to do with that one.

Dusty will be changing schools for the new school year, I am interested to see how that goes. I hope he makes lots of new friends and has an easy time.

Scare..

Well Thad has given us quite the scare this past week. We were camping weekend before last, he, Dusty and Kenny were running down the dock and jumping in the water, just having fun. About the 5th time down Thad slipped and fell backwards and knocked himself unconcious. He was out for a bit and doesn't remember some of the time that he was up and talking to us. I finally convinced him to go to the doctor last Thursday just to be safe. They sent him straight to get a CT Scan, which came back with an "area of concern". Then he had to have an MRI on Friday, they said he damaged brain cells in the front of his brain. We saw the Neurologist this morning and she seems to think he is ok. Lesson learned, if someone is knocked out in my presence they WILL go to the doctor.

Misc..

My little slugger
Little KK

It's been a while....

This weekend I got to spend Friday evening and all day Saturday with my hubby. He had a load to pick up in Clearwater, FL so what better time for me to have a mini vacation to the beach than this. It was a LONG drive down, we didn't arrive until 3;30 Sat am and had to wait until 8am to get unloaded so we took a nap. We got up at 7 and took a walk on the beach our first EVER. It was wonderful to get to spend that time just us!! We enjoyed our time but, were so excited to see our babies!!! I spent Sunday at the hospital, my Nannie fell and broke her leg and damaged her knee (that had just been repaired the Monday before) they think she had a light heart attack that caused a fall. She made it thru surgery but is a little confused. We are hoping that is just from the medication and once it wears off she will be fine. Back home for Taco Bell and a little nap, then on to my inlaws to eat supper. It was a very busy weekend but I soooo enjoyed it!!

Catch Up!!!

We had a really good Easter. The kids really enjoyed hunting eggs and playing outside with their cousins. I really enjoyed just being with family.

Baseball is in full swing now and I have to say that I am really proud of Dusty. He is really starting to step up and show what he's got!! I can't believe how fast he is growing up!! Kaley, wow where to start.. she comes up with the funniest stuff I have ever heard, if her pants are falling down she says.. "oh my butt is falling off" and make sure you don't say ugly words because she will repeat them. She came in the house Sunday morning and was asking "what's that, I hear something" I told her it was the birds singing, now she is going around singing "Happy good morning" it is too cute.

We are soo thankful that summer is on the way, the kids love to be outside!

This and That

Baseball season has started and boy am I ready for Spring. Standing out in 30 degree weather while they practice is for the birds. Kaley really enjoys it though running around and playing on the playground. Last week we were trying to get her ready to go and of course she lost her socks, Thad was tearing the place apart and was flipping the covers on the bed hoping to find them, when he did the tv remote flew thru the air. Kaley, I guess thinking he was mad and throwing it, looked at him and said " Daddy, now there ain't no sense in that". Oh that little girl. And by the way the socks were found... in the VCR... and these are the days of my life!!!!!

Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart!!!

Yesterday was our 13th wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast the years have flown. We decided to just hang out at home with the kids since we are going away this weekend. I have to say the best present I received was listening to Thad read to Kaley. She just sat there as content as could be!!

The Scary "C" Word

When I was in Elementary school I did a school project on cancer, I went to the Cancer Center in Canton to get my phamplets to hang on my board. Never in a million years did I think I would be sitting in their waiting room yesterday afternoon with my mom. We found out Wednesday that she has Larynx Cancer!! They say the spot is small and they can get it with radiation. This is a very scary road we are about to embark on, but my mom is so strong. And I will be with her every step of the way. We just have to keep our faith in God and put all our worries in his hands!

Happy Birthday Honey!!

Yesterday was Thad's birthday and I wanted it to be special.. as trying as that was at times... so we went out last night as a family to eat. We don't go out a lot just the four of us to a "big" resturant, so it was quite interesting. Kaley told us the story of the bear scratching her and how she shot him with a big BOOM!!!! Oh where this kid gets her stories from, I can only imagine the things we will hear in a few years. We all talked and ate and really just enjoyed the time together. Tonight the kids are with my wonderful sis-in-law and bro-in-law's so we can enjoy some mommy and daddy time. It was supposed to be a suprise but Dusty spilled the beans last night, oh well we will still have a good time. Kaley has started going potty again so we will see how long it lasts this time.
