New Years Resolutions

This year my resolutions are going to be quite different from the past. Not the normal losing weight, growning my hair out..... This year I am going to dedicate at least 1 night a month to "date night" with my husband. I am going to spend more quality time with my family. And let the little things go. I am going to get more organized and be a better wife and mother but more importantly I am going be a child of God! Trust in him more, worship him more and thank him more for all that he has given to me and to my family. Sometimes you just don't know how much you have until you truly look around, no we don't have a fancy house or lots of money, but we do have love and health, and that matters more than anything!!! I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!!!!!

My baby girl!

I am just jotting down a few things you do and say so I can remember forever!! You love to put on make up with mommy, and if I am not careful you will use nailpolish for lipstick.. glad I caught you when I did!!! You love your little babies so much and love to feed them their bottles, you have found your "paci" again and like to suck on it now and then. You LOVE chocomilk, coco (coke), cheetos and all sorts of junk food. You like to sleep in "daddies bed" gotta work on that one. But it is so nice to snuggle and talk to you before you go to sleep and then you ask me to "hold my hand". And to see your smiling face when you wake up!! You say "where you gonein" "what you doonin" You love to help in the kitchen, even though I end up with more to do when you do. That is fine with me!!!! You looove your big brother even though you love to tell him to shuppp!! And mommy and daddy have to correct you. You are quite a bit of a mover and a shaker, always on the go.

And so it hit me.......

Last night we were at the in-laws having super, talking about our upcoming venture to the cabin and then Christmas. I was listening to Dusty talk about what ALL he wanted.. and it hit me... We have always only focused on Santa and presents and not the true meaning of Christmas. And it made me sad!!!! How could I not instill that into my children, that it isn't about gifts but about Jesus and what he did for US!! I want to change that, I want them to know the true meaning of Christmas... so with my mission... I am going to change the way we do things at my house!! I will let you know how it turns out :)!!!!
